Aussie Hoops at Timberwolves caters for young children wishing to learn Basketball . The program is run in a fun environment with lots of games designed to enhance and grow basketball skills. It is a non competitive way for beginners 5-10 years old to enjoy basketball.
Aussie Hoops introduces children to basketball in a structured and accredited environment that connects our game at the grassroots through to the elite level. Our national coaching curriculum and sequentially developed program consists of warm-up games, skill activities and modified games all delivered by our accredited coaches.
When you come along, you will notice that the entire Timberwolves Basketball Club is at the Waverley stadium training on Mondays . You are part of the Wolves Family. We allocate a whole court to Aussie Hoops usually split into 4 groups, over each Monday & Tuesday.
Sessions run during normal Victorian School Terms, so TERM 2, 2026 is a 7 week program .
We run 2 sessions each week on Mondays and Tuesdays. When registering for the program , choose either Monday 4.00 to 5.00 pm or Tuesday from 4.00 to 5.00pm.
Numbers are limited for each day so don't miss out
Cost for Term 2 is $90.00
The programme will commence on Monday Group 1, 20 April 2026 and Tuesday Group 2, 21st 2026 and is a 7 week program.
NO SESSIONS ON 27/04 and 28/04 ANZAC DAY and 8/06 and 9/06

Program is an intro to basketball aimed at 5-10yrs with the aim of participants transiting to local WBA competition when ready.
NOTE:
If new to the program, please specify a Size 5 Ball when purchasing the compulsory Ford Aussie Hoops Core Pack( $50.00) under merchandise upon registration.
Repeating players do not need to purchase the start up core pack, however other merchandise is available like backpacks, socks , drink bottle , bags etc.
Both sessions are at Waverley Basketball Stadium on courts 4 (ground floor ) and 5 (upstairs)
